Sword of the Stars 2 este un nou joc anuntat de Paradox Interactive si Kerberos Productions, titlul fiind programat pentru lansare la mijlocul anului 2011.
Cele sase rase ale primului titlu se vor intoarce, dezvoltatorii anunatand ca Swords of the Stars 2 va elucida si misterul rasei Suul'ka. Jocul va beneficia de noul motor grafic MARS 2, precum si de un sistem stelar compus din planete, luni si asteroizi. Jocul va introduce noi clase de nave spatiale si un nou sistem de sub-clasare.
Sword of the Stars este un joc 4X (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate) lansat de Lighthouse Interactive in 2006, de-a lungul timpului fiind lansate inca patru noi expansion-uri orientate pe noi rase jucabile si arme.
